Lockup & Cabinets

The house went to lockup on Jan 25th but apart from the front door going in, not much was done for awhile. Then all the cabinetry got delivered & installed but I was only able to take some photos through the glass. We noticed that the pot-drawers in the kitchen were sized incorrectly (3 even drawers instead of a smaller top drawer and 2 larger bottoms) so I let the SS know and he got it sorted.

We managed to get a look inside today after one of the tradies forgot to lock a sliding door. The kitchen benchtop is only a chipboard template, the rough sections are to be tiled and cornices still need to be done.

It's all looking a bit stark at the moment, but once the appliances go in and we add the darker flooring it should hopefully look a little more homely.

Laundry and bathroom cabinets. Darker laminate to go with the greyish floor tiles, builder's standard range, nothing too fancy.

Theatre bi-folds have been hung and all the door frames painted. Not too impressed with these doors, very cheap and flimsy, will probably rattle and creak once I add the fully sick subwoofer! We'll worry about that later.
