Another 2 weeks of watching and waiting before they finally started laying the bricks, the first course at least. The whole slab has been marked up to show where all the bricks will go, makes it easier to suss out some of the room sizes.
I think this post has something to do with the fact that we raised the height of the alfresco ceiling and the eaves along the back of the house.
Steel lintels have been delivered along with a wooden frame for the front door.

Bricks, bricks, bricks & more bricks!
We have bricks! Oh so many bricks, bricks as far as the eye can see. OK slight exaggeration, but kind of excited, now the real work can begin.
Also, a stack of window frames, a big pile of yellow sand for the mortar & some kind of storage shed for the builders.

Slow progress, more footings
After two weeks of nothing it looks like they've been back to do the footings for the garage, the alfresco pillar & a few other bits and pieces.
